Steven McCall, Assistant Winemaker
Although I was raised in the vineyards outside of Ukiah, California, I didn’t fall in love with winemaking until I helped a friend make a barrel of homemade wine in 2011. Following that barrel of homemade wine, I took a year off from school to work a harvest at Benovia Winery, in the Russian River Valley. It was there that I fell in love with Pinot Noir and the winemaking process.
Since my first harvest, I received my degree in Enology from CSU Fresno. I have worked with many well‐known California Pinot Noir producer, including Williams-Selyem and Balletto Vineyards. I’m looking forward to working with the amazing vineyard sites and great people at Banshee Wines, and of course, excited to make amazing wine.
When I’m not making wine, you’ll find me in the vineyards with my sidekick, my black lab, Ranger.
